FIGURE 4. Persistent hyperplastic primary vitreous. The posterior
portion of the retained and proliferated fetal vitreous is attached to the
optic nerve head. Anteriorly these patients have a whitish mass occupying
the posterior aspect of the lens and dragging the ciliary processes
towards the lens.

right eye. Note uffy edges and partial obstruction of the view of the

FIGURE 16-6 Large chorioretinal coloboma involving the optic nerve
head and the inferior part of the fundus. This will cause a white pupillary
reflex.

FIGURE 7. Yellowish macular elevated lesion made of cholesterol
exudates from an abnormal leaky vascular aneurysm (not evident on
this photo). The aneurysm can be in the peripheral part of the retina
and the leakage will pool in the posterior pole.

FIGURE 8. Macular chorioretinal scar from congenital toxoplasmosis. The white is sclera and the black is proliferated retinal pigment epithelium during the healing phase of the infections and inflammatory process. This is a typical location for congenital toxoplasmosis.
