eye with a baseball. He has photophobia and eye pain.

FIGURE 3. Idiopathic intermediate uveitis. The ciliary ush is perilimbal injection
from dilation of blood vessels adjacent to the cornea,
extending 3 mm into the sclera. Perilimbal injection may appear as a
violet hue around the limbus with blurring of individual vessels.

FIGURE 4. Hypopyon with severe anterior uveitis, showing layering
of leukocytes and brinous debris in the anterior chamber. May be
sterile or infectious. An intense ciliary ush is seen. Most commonly
seen in HLA-B27-positive patients with uveitis. Hypopyon may also be
a presenting sign of malignancy (retinoblastoma and lymphoma)

FIGURE 5. This patient with uveitis had posterior synechiae that are
attachments of the iris to the anterior capsule of the lens. Therapeutic
dilation broke the synechiae, but left residual pigment on the anterior
capsule.
